Overview

The American Language Program offers non-credit classes in the late afternoon and evening, for those who want to improve their English skills but who cannot study English full-time in the intensive program. A variety of classes are taught every quarter.

  • Classes are taught on the Ohio State University campus
  • 25 hours of instruction (two classes per week for five week, or one class per week for ten weeks
  • Fees: "Basic English" $200, all other classes $395 (books must be purchased separately at the OSU bookstore)(prices subject to change)
  • Refund policy: 90% after the first class, no refunds thereafter (unless a documented emergency)
  • Small class size (8-12 students), with an emphasis on communication, in-class practice, and individual attention
  • Certificate awarded for successful completion of each course
  • Instructors have advanced training and extensive experience

The ALP non-credit classes are open to all who wish to enroll. Please note, however, that these courses do not issue the form I-20 for a student visa.
