ALP accepts on-line and paper applications. It is best to apply as early as possible so you will have time to get your student (F-1) visa and schedule your visa interview with the U.S. consulate in your area.

Applications are processed when all required application materials are received. Application processing takes approximately one week. We will email, fax or send an application confirmation within 2 business days of receiving your application.

Upon admission your Form I-20 and letter of admission will be sent to you by express mail. We will also notify you of your admission by email.

To apply online you will need the following items:

1. An email address
2. A credit card with a VISA or MasterCard logo (for OSU’s non-refundable $50 USD application fee)
3. an original (not photocopied) statement, in English or with certified translation, of the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma or higher degree
4. proof of available funds for your tuition, fees, and living expenses for the duration of your study with ALP

You will be asked to mail items #3 and #4 to the ALP office once you’ve completed your online application.

To apply by paper application you will need the following items:

1. An ALP Application for Admission form (click here for PDF) or request a hard copy of the application form from the ALP office
2. A non-refundable application fee of $50 USD (please make the check payable to The Ohio State University)
3. an original (not photocopied) statement, in English or with certified translation, of the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma or higher degree
4. proof of available funds for your tuition, fees, and living expenses for the duration of your study with ALP
